505 EFI Street Motor
It was a long time in the works -
I built a mild 505 (AllPontiac.com iron block) street motor for my '61 Ventura - mild cam - smooth idle at 750 RPM - sequential port fuel injection -
Here's the numbers:
HP = 515 @ 5300 RPM
Torque = 605 ft. lbs. @ 4,000 RPM
Torque = 550 ft. lbs. @ 2,500 RPM

What a torque monster Dave
There is so much more this engine has to offer .
What heads did you go with?

Looks like KRE heads in the picture. Did these go through SD Performance? That thing has a torque curve like a Diesel...flat and all the way to the bottom! Hope you have some sticky tires. Looking good!

KRE heads that have been worked on by my local machine shop/engine builder -
The engine has a small cam 230/236 on a 114º LSE because I want a mellow driver that I can cruise down to the Batesville chicken fry.
The rest of the parts - crank, rods, pistons, head flow, intake, and EFI could easily make 650+ HP with more cam.
