NOS ones pop up on ebay every once in awhile, make sure to search Bonneville and Catalina as they all are the same. Is it rotted or is the sender bad? Ames has the lock rings, if it's a sender problem sometimes you can pull the senders and clean them, make sure to do an ohms check.

There's a company in Akron, Ohio that rebuilds them. I just cant find their card at the moment.

have you tried California Pontiac Restoration. They stock them for the older cars.

Make sure if you buy off ebay that the pipe is in the correct direction. Some are generic items and need to be modified to fit correctly.

    good luck

    Thumbs up

Nice '53, is that a Custom or De Luxe? I had a '53 Custom in Laurel Green and Milano Ivory with the sunvisor, had to sell it when I sold my house and built new. First car with tailfins! I miss it.

    hi Steve

it's a Custom, and the paint tag shows it left the factory in Ivory all over.
The pale yellow was applied some time before 1995, which is as far as I can trace the history back. It spent a long time in the Canadian Prairies before leaving Vancouver Island to come over to the UK in 2002.

Today the speedo rolled passed the 99999miles and it now has 25 genuine miles on the speedo.

I got the one for my '61 Pontiac at California Pontiac. They're good guys to deal with and very knowledgeable.

Arrow 67-68 big car fuel sender.......

    Hey Randy,

In my search for the same item for my 68 GP, I was referred to Jack Marcheski (he advertises in Smokes), who rebuilds the odd cannister type fuel sender, that our cars use, into the more common float lever type unit for around $230, including return shipping. I am told that his service and quality are outstanding, often returning your rebuilt unit within 2-3 days from reciept of your core. I plan to use Jack's service as soon as I get around to dropping the GP's tank .

Found their info. I've not had one that old done but their products are top quality.

Their newer products are good quality.
