Hi all!

I'd like to convert my 1960 Catalina from the stock 12V generator to at least a 100 Amp alternator. I've read some posts that say the in-dash ammeter will burn up with that conversion. Others say it won't be an issue.

Does anyone have experience with doing an alternator conversion and keeping the original dash ammeter?
