67 Firebird 4spd shifter boot
I'm hoping someone out there can help with this...I just ordered the replacement boot/bracket and trim plate for my 67 Firebird 400. The car has no console and the boot and trim plate that were on the car were just screwed into the carpet. No bracket
My question: what is the proper order for these parts my thought is that the rug gets pulled back, the rubber boot on the tunnel, and mounting bracket screwd to tunnel. The rug then wrapped over the bracket and trim plate attached to bracket. I have searched the internet for the "correct" way to do this but have not found a consistent answer.
Thanks much!
