Front parking lights stay on with headlights
When I first got my 65 Bonneville, the headlight switch need to be replaced as it was just getting old and unreliable. Before I replaced it, I also noticed that the front parking lights did not go out when the headlights where turned on, which I believe all cars lights where to operate that way then. So, once I replaced the switch with a new "correct" headlight switch, I expected that issue to be resolved. But, no they still stay on when the headlights are turned on. When the turn signals are on, the parking lights just blink brighter so you can tell there is a turn, but I would prefer the original operation.
Is this a problem with the switch, or is there some other place in the wiring in the car? Is there a special version of the headlight switch for 65 Bonnevilles?
Thanks.
