The radio display (clock and station) on my 2000 Grand Prix had become erratic. Sometimes it would work, other times I'd have to "pluck" it with my finger, then sometimes it wouldn't work at all. I discovered, actually by accident, there's a tiny light bulb behind the display box that makes the display come on.
Replacement bulbs can be found on ebay! There's also replacement instructions online. I got the bulb and opted to have it replaced by a local car stereo sales/service shop. The whole thing, light bulb and replacement was about $75.00. The display now works perfectly.
Just wanted to put this information out there hoping to help others having the same problem.
