88 gta heater core

I've got an 1988 gta notchback that needs a heater core, again! is anyone familiar with a process I've heard of where you don't have to take the whole dash out - only the right side underneath and top dash pad to access the heater core??? would appreciate any comments anyone who may have already been there, done that!

I was able to do this job by removing the lower two panels, ECM and a little black box. I had no need to remove the top of the dash. I have some pictures but am new here and am not sure what the procedure is. Not a bad job at all.
