Thread: Engine Swap

    Default Engine Swap

Does anyone know whether a 1930 engine will fit into a 1928 car? I see the front mounts are different but maybe I can swap them. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I have seen many 29 and 30 engines in earlier Pontiacs, ones that were changed 50 or 60 years ago. If you have Hotchkiss drive there should be no problems. If your car is an early 28 (12 spoke wheels and torque tube drive) you would want to drive it fairly easy as you have much more horsepower than the C&P were designed for.
