Rear axle #'s ??? What do they mean 8975082
My 69 GP SJ has these numbers stamped on the rear pumkin cover,
8058 on a round circle stamped on the right side if the rear pumkin cover on the lower left side.
Below that are these numbers 8975082.
Do I have a Posi or Peg Leg. Anyone know the gear ratio ??

Not sure about numbers stamped on the pumpkin cover, but there should be some cast into the housing. Easy check for posi is get both rear wheels in the air and see if they spin in park, if they go opposite directions its open.

Anything is possible, for sure a motor mount change would be required. Running the original 4 speed?
