    Latest on Frosty

Hello everyone, Frosty here! I live!!!! Yeah!!!! I was officially released from St. Francis today at 3:30! I am very weak. As a result of lying in bed so long, I have lost a significant amount of weight, muscle mass and strength. We will be heading home starting Saturday, travel 1/2 way, and then get home on Sunday. Thank you all for your love, support, and concern. I will post more after I get home.

    Love Dennis, Nancy, and Jacob.

    Hello Everyone,

I want to truly thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, well wishes, cards and letters. They have been extremely inspirational to me and my family. From the bottom of my heart, I can't thank you enough for your support!

It's been a week since I was released from the hospital and I felt I owed you an update. I have been to my personal physician and reviewed what happened and the medication I am taking. He has ordered physical therapy 3 times a week for me since I am so weak. I am doing my PT and doing it at homel on the days I don't go. I will be seeing a wound specialist soon to monitor the progess of the surgery incession since it has to heal from the inside to the outside. I am walking around the block now with my cane for stability. I will see the doctor again in 2 weeks. I still can not drive, but that's okay. I'd rather heal up and do the right things and get better and not get impatient and rush things and suffer a set back. It's nice to be able to get sit up, lay down, walk around when I want though. I am definitely feeling better than I did a week ago.

    Take Care and God Bless

Todd, I saw the doctor last Monday. I can drive without restrictions now. I am getting stronger every day. I am continuing to exercise 5 days a week. I am certainly not back to where I was, but I don't get winded trying to shave anymore either. I figure I am about 40-50% full strength based on what I can currently weight lift. I have a surgical consultation scheduled in mid-October for my colostomy reversal, right after I get back from Charleston, WV.

Yes, I did say Charleston WV! My wife and I have been doing the Charleston Rod Run and Doo Wop car show for the last 2 years and we love it. It is a long weekend for just the two of us. It will be even more special now since I will get a chance to meet up with my extended car family that took such good care of me and my family while I was in the hospital. I can not beleive the well wishes from the Almost Heaven chapter, the Corvette Club of WV, Golden Oldies Car Cluib, and the Mustang Club of WV we received. So this is our chance to thank them.

Also the Rod Run and Doo Wop is an awesome car show. They have about 800 cars line both sides of the levie. Burn out contests, street drags, hyrdalic demos are all there. Concerts in Haddad park are also a lot of fun. So it will be a great time. The show runs October 7-10, 2010.

Pete, my wife and I are leaving on Wednesday morning, just as soon as the bus picks up our boy for school. My car is in the 2008 and 2009 highlights pages. I am drving the blue and white '72 Lemans convertible. The link is below. My car is in both the highlights video and the static pictures, which is cool. I am registration #107. I will be parked next to or near registration #1 and #2, which should be a blue El Camino and either a white & red '42 Pontiac Torpedo or a green '33 Willys street rod (depending on what my buddy decides to drive down in).

We have made plans to go to the Mardi Gras Casino cruise/car show on Wednesday night as well. We will be having dinner with the Mustang Club of WV but we will be hanging outside too (we want a shot at the $1000 prize). I am sure we will be doing some gambling while we're there too.
