Default Difference between front bumper ? Parts for 1955 Starchief ?

    Hello,

I'm wondering, what's the difference between those 2 bumpers :

I'm also looking for some parts for my Starchief! Many US-citizens don't wanna ship overseas. I only got Ames Performance
Engineering, but they seem to me a bit 'slow'. I'm waiting since may (!) to get an answer ...

    Thanks for your help.

The 1st one [Green] has the accesory bumper guards on it, thats the bar that ties the two outer pcs. together across the top & the upright bars. That's the only difference I can see or know of??? Anybody else want to jump in???

Sethos, yes they were optional Acc. I don't know where you are located as your profile is not filled in, I'm in Canada,so they not plentifull here but you might find some at "swap meets "HERSHEY" etc or maybe a wreckers that stll has old stuff. Check out Smoke Signals "for sale" section too. They "could be costly" I don't know, you could list the want add section here as well!!!

Well, unfortunately I'm in Europe. Guess there aren't many 55's Pontiac's around here. So I got to be lucky to find one...

The '55 bumper guard comes up on ebay occasionally.

For parts be sure to check with CPR (www.pontiacparts.net) as well as Ames.

Thank you, I'll check it out sometimes. CPR is supposed to send me a catalogue and with Ames I got already
    an open 'test'-order... ;-)

Btw: Great homepage of yours, just saved me some money, because I wanted to buy a book with all
available colours of that time..Found everything on your side ! Great !
