Host Hotel for Tempest 50th Anniversary Celebration

After much discussion and researching 9 hotels, Little Indians has designated the Super 8 of Sandusky/Milan as its host hotel for the Tempest 50th Anniversary Celebration August 5th to August 7th 2011 at Summit Motorsports Park. They have given us a group rate of $58.55 for Thursday night August 4th and $118.05 for Friday and Saturday nights August 5th and 6th. Identify yourself as an attendee of the 50th Tempest Anniversary Celebration to get our group rate. This is one of the nicer Super 8s and a couple of the Little Indians officers have stayed there before. They currently have 50 rooms available for those dates but make your reservation soon to ensure you have yours guaranteed. The hotel location will make for a nice 6-mile Tempest morning cruise to the racetrack each day. A description of the hotel from their website is below.

62 - total respondents (out of an active membership of 115)
40 - planning to attend
14 - uncertain of attending (which means maybe)
37 - planning to bring their Tempest
14 - uncertain of bringing car (again, maybe)

Not bad numbers, or response, considering our total membership. Plus, when is the last time anyone saw over 30 Tempests at another show.

And these numbers don't include the non-members who show up at Norwalk year in and year out. Could be a good old Tempest time!

More events are in the planning stages & will be posted as the information becomes available.

50th Anniversary Celebration T-shirt - Order Now!

The officers of the Little Indians got Dean Fait (D-No Designs) to design the 50th Anniversary Celebration event T-shirt. We think he did a great job!!
On the front, we went with the Ropeshaft balancing like it was advertised back in the day. This will be on the left chest area.
On the back we decided on a car in its most stock form to represent each model year.
T-shirts will be Gray, Gildan 100% Cotton, these are the best quality on the market.

Price is $15 each to be picked up at the event. If you can not make the event but still want a T-shirt, add $5 for shipping with your order for up to 4 shirts, $8 for 5 & more. We need a street address, NO P.O. BOX.

Please use the order form in the previous post and send to Bob Gaydo by May 28th!

In order to avoid a June 1 price increase, we need to get the quantity and sizes to the Printer before that.

The 50th reunion was a great success. I belive the final count for the event was 48 cars in attendance. This included show, race & swap meet. Here is the link to the Pictures on the Little Indians site. There are allmost 200 pictures here. Enjoy!!!
