I kind of wish that people who are considering volunteering for a BOD position would attend a few Board Meetings before they toss their hat in the ring. Also have experience in running POCI Events, their local chapter, etc. Maybe talk to their Board representatives about issues the club is facing, so that if they do get elected, they have some idea of the longer term discussions going on. I think the reason that the percentage of members who do vote is low is because many members just do not feel that they know enough about the nuts and bolts of operating POCI to intelligently vote on the people.

Just to clarify - BOD election ballots were mailed via 1st class mail last week by the Club Office to all Electronic members on file. Regular members receive their ballots in the 3/10 issue of Smoke Signals.

Has anyone consisder a "on line vote" this might help us "CANUKS" [who won the hockey game BTW ] with our late arrival of S/Signals?? I'm going to have to check the online edition this month to see what's what & hope the mail brings the "Mag" before deadline!!! Otherwise our vote is "worthless" !!!

Filled out the ballot, gonna stuff it in the M/B tomorrow so I don't forget.
