Default Flat Head Pontiacs in the Movies

I wanted to start a thread of old Pontiacs in the movies.

I have been digging to find pictures of old Poniacs in the movies and it is not easy to find them.

Here is a scene from the great Dom Deluise in Fatso where he borrow's a friend's '52 Pontiac. The other friend mumbles something about the '52 that I can't make out and the friend says, "its better than the subway"

Unfortunately if you look close, you will see that they used a Chevy rather than a Pontiac in the scene.

Still given the greatness of the movie and the mention of the '52 Pontiac, this is a clip worth watching.

    Default Movies

The movie version of Truman Capote's IN COLD BLOOD showed the perps leaving the farm in a 49-54 Pontiac. I recall the interior shot with the radio in the center.

Yes I remember that. Upon looking at the trailer, I would narrow that down to a 49-52 based on the rear fenders.

It is in the opening scene from the trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ObEVbKTDtGA

    Default Pontiac Moon

Pontiac Moon is a great movie about driving a 1951 Convertible cross country.
Great moral lesson taught in the movie too.
lesson 1. Don't sweat the small stuff.
lesson 2. Everything in life is small stuff.

Yes I have seen the trailer, but not the movie. I hope they did not really crash a clean Pontiac convertable at the end of the movie.

Here is the trailer. You will get a good shot of the yellow Pontiac at the end of this clip:

In the 2002 made for TV movie, Door to Door, the main character's mother has a 49-52 Pontiac. I couldn't find a trailer showing the car in that context, but this one shows him walking down the street with a Pontiac passing him by at about the 17 second mark.

Oops. The Pontiac is at the 12 second mark, not 17 seconds.

Yes I saw that clear as day.

BTW this was a great movie and it touches home as my wife teaches special ed and my neighbor has a boy with CP.

I am real proud of how well my neighbor's kid has done. He drives and is in his 3rd year of college.
