Saw a cam removal tool in one of the catalogs, does this hep? Also, what do I look for with the bearings?

Ok, ready to pull the OEM cam out. Not understanding why it is getting hung up on the middle bearing. Is their a trick to this?

Ok, got my edelbrock timing chain and gears...and my gasket set. Ready to tackle the job. Anything tips or tricks I could use to make the installation quicker and perhaps more successful?

Am told the '69 GP I recently bought has the original timing chain and gears! So, anyone suggest a replacement/upgrade? If I can improve performance while staying stock, that works for me? So many...

Mike - In the pic provided the front plate bracket is on the drivers side. Were they not originally a bit mounted on the pass side? Also, there is an additional bracket to mount a plate that bolts...

Replaced cap and rotor (needed it!). Now making sure the firing order for a 1974 Pontiac 400 is correct. This is what I found when I bought it...(doesn't seem correct)
