I started using Shell Rotella also, but I still add an entire bottle of Lucas zinc additive (listed as for breaking in a new camshaft, but a good source of ZDP)

I guess my Mom's memory must have been a little fuzzy. I remember the car, but I thought it was a '51.
In that case my '51 is a perfect tribute to both cars as it fits between the '50 & '52.

I'll dump in the other half of the bottle of Lucas tomorrow.
I also noticed that although my owners manual lists the crankcase capacity at 5 qts, 4 Qts brings the level right up to the full mark....
